It was a learning lesson for my son this weekend.. He picked the flag out of the holder to play swords or something with it ,I stopped him . I explained it was not a toy..I said" Alot of young men and women have lost there lives for that flag and the freedom it stands for and it should be treated with respect at all times".. I explain his PawPaw"gradfather" fought in the vietnam war defending that flag, as he cooked on the grill next to him.. I also explained as we sit here eating BBQ there are men/women fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan right now defending it.. Dont know if he got the full weight of what I was trying to explain but here is my son putting the flag back carefully..
Lesson learned this Holiday weekend..
